Goolsby Lab

The Goolsby Lab is in the Department of Biology at University of Central Florida. We're interested in plant macroevolution at both the phenotypic and molecular levels in a variety of frameworks, including phylogenetic comparative methods development for complex multivariate traits, plant ecophysiology, and phylogenomics approaches. We're currently studying the evolutionary dynamics of photosynthetic pathways (C3, C4, and CAM) in the genus Portulaca (Caryophyllales), as well as heavy metal tolerance and hyperaccumulation in wild sunflowers (Helianthus).
